Surfrider Long Beach Chapter Meeting

Not sure what to do on a Monday while you wait for Monday Night Football to start up again? Attend the Long Beach, CA Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation’s general meeting at 7PM, Monday, August 2nd at Shelter Surf Shop (2148 E 4th St., Long Beach). It’s free, fun and informative!

We’ll start with an update on Surfrider’s Rise Above Plastics campaign, with the goal of reducing single-use plastics from our oceans. After that, the guest speaker will be film maker Grant Eads screening Mother Wants Her Beauty Back, a short film about the ongoing Long Beach Breakwater campaign.

Big Wedensday in Santa Barbara


Looking for something fun to do Wednesday nights in Santa Barbara? Wanna help out the local chapter of the Surfrider Foundation?

OK – then get off yer butts and head over to their Big Wednesday event:

Beach Clean Up In Malibu Saturday

Hey all you dudes and dudettes – put on your board shorts, grab your sunscreen and a pair of gloves and head on up to County Line Beach this Saturday, April 4th, for the West Los Angeles/Malibu Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation’s Beach Clean Up this Saturday, April 4th!

The event runs from 9:30am – Noon across from Neptune’s Net restaurant. (42505 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, 90265). Parking is free on PCH.

Come early for a morning surf session at County Line before the clean up and then walk across PCH for lunch at Neptune’s Net after the clean up.  :-)


Surfrider Foundation Chapter Meeting

Just a head’s up to all of our customers who are Surfrider Foundation members in Southern California that February 2nd is the first general meeting of 2009 for the Long Beach Chapter.

To entice members to come to the meeting they are giving the first five members who show up FREE passes to the new Long Beach Laugh Factory on Pine Ave, (valued at $25 each). Everyone, (even non-members), are welcome to the meeting.

There will be a presentation on Surfrider’s campaign, Rise Above Plastics, by Angela Howe. You can learn how single use plastic items are severely impacting our environment, sea life and migrating birds and how you can help.

When: February 2nd @ 7PM
