Kill Your Plastic Bag
On November 16, 2010, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will consider certification of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and adoption of an Ordinance to ban single use plastic carryout bags at certain retail stores in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
The Final EIR evaluated a number of Alternatives, including banning plastic carryout bags and imposing a charge on paper carryout bags at all supermarkets, grocery stores, pharmacies and drug stores, convenience stores and foodmarts.
